Three Things Moms Hate About Using Pull Up Swim Diapers

Mom changing her child's pull up diaper

One of the most challenging and fulfilling parts of being a parent is transitioning your toddlers to potty training. Most parents, if not all, are looking forward to getting rid of the hassle of changing diapers, and to stop buying these necessities which will likely save them a lot of money.

Potty training can be exhausting and costly, too. Poop and pee run your life during this stage and can be pretty messy at most times. So, you did your research and found out about pull up diapers.  Or you probably got a recommendation from one of your friends and decided to check if it is worth the investment.

Before you make that purchase, we have collected the most common reasons why moms hate using pull up diapers especially when using pull up diapers for swimming. We hope that this will help you in deciding if buying pull ups will give you the convenience you want and how to understand  significant differences between regular diapers versus pull up ones. Read on.

1. It is not as adjustable.

As expected, pull up diapers do not have the taped strip features that you can just adjust if the size is too big or too small. Yes, it is not as adjustable compared to the ones you have been using.

Pull up diapers have stretchy sides for a comfortable fit, however, they are not the waistline adjustable type and will require you to choose the exact size that will fit on your kids. Be very careful and selective when shopping for pull up swimsuits diapers, and make sure you have the exact waist measurements so you will not end up buying loose or tight pull ups that will make your kids uncomfortable.

2. Can be time consuming when changing.

Pull ups are designed to be easy-to-wear pants and to be good for on-the-go moments. However, if you are changing to new pull ups, then changing might take time since it will require you to take off the bottom clothes, which then adds more time to the process.

Also, when it comes to materials, there is a big difference on how pull ups are manufactured. Compared to ordinary diapers that absorb water, swim diapers are not absorbent so the water passes through. Another instance is when you pull down the swimsuit diaper with poop inside and the poop gets all over your kid's leg then that means a full bath instead of a simple diaper change before you can get back in the water.

3. It is a bit expensive compared to regular nappies.

If you are thinking of saving money when transitioning from regular diapers to pull-ups, then you might want to reconsider. Pull-ups are more expensive given that they are almost always disposable and can cost you more in the long run. Think of buying different sizes as your little one grows. It can also take up so much space in your luggage when you are traveling. And since they can’t be adjusted you may bring swim diapers that don’t fit anymore and thus starts the cycle where many moms  buy too many and throw them away or too few and have to end your water baby’s adventures early. You might not notice the difference, but you will see significant price differences if you take a closer look and compare.

Reusable swim diapers on the other hand can be a practical option. These are easy to clean, durable, and have adjustable snaps for a better fit that can hold all the messy stuff in.

Being a parent is not an easy job, it is a responsibility. We continuously strive to balance everything while giving the best that we can to provide for our family. Making decisions such as what food to prepare, and what clothes to choose.

Changing diapers from one brand to another for your kids is a basic thing in parenthood. It is important to note that these decisions are meant to improve convenience and save you money. If you are thinking of switching from pull up diapers to adjustable, reusable, and more cost effective naugeret swim diapers from Beau and Belle littles, then the choice is all yours.
